The Village of Deer Park was incorporated in 1957.
RecreationCuba Marsh and Ela Marsh Forest Preserves lie within and adjacent to the village?s northwest boundaries. Just south of the village is the Deer Grove Forest Preserve. Deer Park has a brand new great life style center. The new Deer Park Town Center has about 50 stores and some restaurants near Rand and Long Grove Roads.
SchoolsDeer Park is served by two unit school districts: Barrington District #220, with an enrollment of 7,695, and Lake Zurich District #95, with an enrollment of 5,769 students. There are two parochial schools in nearby Lake Zurich and one in Barrington.

Government ServicesThe Lake Zurich Rural Fire District provides fire protection services to the village. Lake Zurich residents receive police protection jointly from the Lake County Sheriff and Kildeer Police Department.
TransportationLake-Cook Road and U.S. Route 12 take drivers east to U.S. 53 which then goes south and connects to Interstate 90. Numerous local, county and state roads connect the village to surrounding communities. The Metra commuter rail station in nearby Barrington provides easy access to Chicago.
